Top 50 NBA Players 2013/14 – #47 Gerald Green

Gerald Green

Next up in our countdown of the top 50 NBA players is the high-flying Phoenix Suns forward Gerald Green.

Green just edged out point guard teammate and most improved player award winner Goran Dragic, but in all honesty, either could end up ahead of each other as both players have a near equal effect on the success of their team.

Gerald Green has done a terrific job for the Suns this season, and was also in the running, alongside Dragic, for the most improved player award, upping his scoring almost two fold from last season.

The one thing many know Green for is his ability to seemingly fly to the rim and throw down jaw-dropping dunks, no matter who’s in the way.

But it isn’t just at the rim where Green goes to work; he also shoots 40% from behind the arc, making him a tough cover for any defender.

Green has the ability to take over games offensively and that’s what got him onto our top 50 list for the first time. He’s averaged 15.8ppg this season, along with 2.5rpg and 1.0apg, and got the Phoenix fans hyped during what was a bitter-sweet season.

If Gerald Green continues to throw down highlight reel dunks and increases his production, we might see him higher up our rankings next season.
