Top 50 NBA Players 2013/14 – #43 David Lee

David Lee Top 50

Next up in our countdown of the top 50 NBA players is the Golden State Warriors power forward David Lee.

Lee has been as solid as ever this season, averaging 18.2ppg along with 9.3rpg, making him pretty much a double-double waiting to happen for the Warriors this year.

He’s an efficient scorer as well, shooting over 50% from the field and making free throws above 75%, and many of his field goals are legit attempts as well, not scoring purely at the rim.

In fact, Lee is a major threat from mid-range, as well as being more than capable of taking the ball inside.

Defensively he isn’t the best, but thanks to the Warriors use of Andrew Bogut and Andre Iguodala, the franchise has made up for his lack of defensive intensity for sure.

The Warriors were unfortunate not to make their way into the second round of the playoffs this season, and ultimately Mark Jackson paid the price, with Golden State bringing in Steve Kerr to replace him.

Hopefully Kerr can continue to get the best out of David Lee, who’s quickly become one of the best big men in the league.
