NBA London 2016 Ticket Sales Date Announced

NBA London

NBA London 2016 tickets will officially go on sale just a couple of days after the start of the regular season – on Friday October 30th, the NBA has announced.

Fans have been eager to purchase tickets for the the sixth regular season NBA game in as many years, which will pit the Orlando Magic up against the Toronto Raptors since the game was announced, but only now has the NBA confirmed when tickets will go on sale.

Pre-sale tickets will be available two days before regular sales, on October 28th at 9AM BST, giving O2 Priority customers a chance to dodge the queues when the tickets go on general sale on the 30th (also at 9am BST).

You’ll be able to find tickets through the O2 Arena’s website, with prices to be confirmed when tickets go on sale.

The game itself tips off in London on Thursday January 14th at the O2 Arena, and is expected to sell out yet again as the biggest basketball league on the planet rolls around to the United Kingdom once more.

The Orlando Magic will be led by Victor Oladipo and Tobias Harris, along with Nikola Vucevic and Evan Fournier. Meanwhile Toronto will once again rely on DeMar Derozan to pick up the scoring slack, whilst the likes of Kyle Lowry and DeMarre Carroll will also feature in London.

Both teams have visited London before, with the Magic being one of the first teams to feature on British soil all the way back in 1993, when they were led by former NBA Champion, Shaquille O’Neal. Toronto have a more recent history in the UK, after playing back to back games in 2011.

Last year, it was the New York Knicks and the Milwaukee Bucks who made the journey to London, as the Milwaukee Bucks cruised by the beleaguered New York franchise in what was the worst season in Knicks history.

This year, British and European fans will be hoping for a more exciting game of basketball, and both the Magic and Raptors will be hoping to deliver that come mid-January.
