Aaron Gordon Suffers Injury Ahead of London Game

Aaron Gordon

Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon is likely to be listed as a gametime decision for the Orlando Magic’s NBA London 2016 game against the Toronto Raptors.

During the Magic’s open practice session, Gordon was seen with ice on his right ankle, and followed up later on with strapping on the joint.

Gordon wasn’t in the best of spirits regarding the injury, but didn’t confirm whether or not he’d be suiting up for the game at the O2 Arena tomorrow evening.

Aaron Gordon Injury News

In a short conversation with us, when asked about the injury Gordon’s response was to the point.

“I rolled it during training”. He said “We’ll see [about suiting up tomorrow]”.

This isn’t the best news Orlando will want to hear regarding their player’s fitness, especially after Elfrid Payton has also been struggling with an ankle issue of his own – although he’s likely to suit up after training today.

Gordon has been good for 7.1ppg and 5rpg, as well as providing a much needed energy boost thanks to his athleticism, something Orlando will certainly miss if he isn’t able to suit up come the NBA London game.

Aaron Gordon and the Orlando Magic host the Toronto Raptors at The O2 in London on Jan. 14 as part of NBA Global Games London 2016. The game is live on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Showcase or via NBA LEAGUE PASS (www.nba.tv).
